Uncle Pen is a project born out of fiddler and singer Alex Caton’s lifelong love for the music of late great father of bluegrass, Bill Monroe. Together with guitarist/singer Jordan Perry and multi-instrumentalist Matty Metcalfe, Uncle Pen takes listeners on an intimate journey through the classic and lesser known corners of the Monroe universe.

Mojo Pie was created when Susan Munson invited Frank Bechter to a songwriters workshop, and they've been bringing harmonies to wineries, restaurants and events in Central Virginia ever since. Both have been featured artists in Charlottesville's First Night Virginia and Jason Burke's Six-Pack Songwriter Series, and they make up 2/3 of the acoustic trio Oh Wow, Boy! Susan also rocks many a stage with Alligator, Jeebus, and Mama Tried, as does Frank with Das Homage, The Good Guys, and Her Checkered Past

Enjoy this energetic and eclectic Irish jam session every 2nd Sunday of the month. Patrick & Aaron Olwell and friends play their fine renditions of traditional tunes all afternoon.

  • Light bites and hard cider will be available for purchase by the glass, bottle, or flight.
  • Outside food is welcome; feel free to bring a picnic!
  • ABC laws prohibit the consumption of outside alcoholic beverages

*Musicians will setup in the Orchard Room during inclement weather

North Garden Trivia Night

Every third Wednesday is Trivia Night at Albemarle Ciderworks. Come by and play with up to a six person team.

Starting at 6pm in the Orchard Room we host a night of fun, with a four-round trivia night.

All are welcome. Light bites, snacks, and cider will be available for purchase.

Doors Open from 5 pm. The quiz will begin promptly at 6 pm. Feel free to come early for a glass of cider.

Free Admission, with winnable prizes.

Come and experience the wonder of meeting the masters of their craft along side their prized wines and ciders.

Book tickets for Friday, April 19th and this year’s "Taste of North Garden Dinner", an intimate dinner, with a bespoke pairings from Wisdom Oak Winery, Loving Cup Vineyard & Winery and Albemarle CiderWorks. Enjoy appetizers and a wonderful multi-course meal prepared by Ian Rubenoff with a guided tour of the wines by the Winemakers from each winery. They will discuss how the wines were produced and why they were chosen to pair with the selected course. Reservations are $95/person. Blue Ridge Irish Music School Family Social & Beginner Session Join us for an informal Irish music gathering hosted by the Blue Ridge Irish Music School (BRIMS) and Albemarle Ciderworks. This will be a great opportunity to meet other BRIMS families and find out more about BRIMS' offerings in an informal setting while enjoying some delicious cider!Starting at 3:00 there will be a slow/beginner session led by Matthew O'Donnell. This session will be geared towards musicians who are beginners and are new to sessions. All ages welcome, no admission.

Join us on April 27th  1- 5pm for our 7th Annual Cider Blossom Festival! This event is a celebration of spring, pets and plants. Enjoy dry ciders, explore offerings from local artisans, cuddle sheep, swap plants, and dance the afternoon away with live music from musicians “Her Checkered Past"

Need a new furry bff? The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA will be hosting a pop-up pet-adoption station throughout the festival.

Already have your four-legged companion? Bring them in costume and enter them in our Pet Fashion Parade! The parade is $10 to enter, and all proceeds benefit the CASPCA. Prizes have been donated Fetch! Pet Care, Sammy's Dog Walking, and Vintage Virginia Apples. Pre-register online, or come day of the festival by 1:45pm.  You will have to put your best foot (paw) forward to impress our panel of judges, so strut your stuff down our "cat walk". 1:30 - 2 Explore where our traditional, dry Cider is produced, with a behind-the-scenes tour with Associate Cidermaker David Timmerman

Throughout the day, cuddle sheep (here for the afternoon from Old Orchard Farm), play lawn games (like limbo, corn hole, and giant Connect Four), and peruse offerings from local vendors.

Enjoy live music by Her Checkered Past.Join Anne O'Brien and Frank Bechter in the orchard for some live music that will warm your heart. This duo will keep you humming along to popular songs. The cider will be flowing so bring a thirst, and treat yourself to a little relaxation.

Sip cider and read in quiet camaraderie. No assigned reading, no obligations. Bring your own book of choice. This is a free social event hosted in our Orchard Room.
