  • an 11x14 canvas
  • a fun evening with friends!

Join us to learn how to paint this design in a step by step format, no experience necessary! Your ticket includes an 11×14 canvas and acrylic paint. Each class is taught by a professional artist that will guide you through various techniques at a comfortable pace.

Ford Haitian Foundation - Cook Off!

Come and enjoy great food with friends, family and neighbors.  Local chefs will be competing for the first-place prize in a Caribbean cook out.  Doors will open to the public at 12 noon with a silent auction, live music from Jon Spear and Brian Franke and a curated cider flight to pair with the Caribbean dishes. You will be able to start tasting and voting for your favorite at 1pm and the winners will be announced between 3:15pm and 3:30pm.

 

We would love you to join us for the fundraiser. If you can’t make the cook off, please consider visiting the website and see how little it costs to change a life.

Irish Music : Aaron Olwell & Friends Enjoy this energetic and eclectic Irish jam session every 2nd Sunday of the month. Patrick & Aaron Olwell and friends play their fine renditions of traditional tunes all afternoon.Light bites and hard cider will be available for purchase by the glass, bottle, or flight.
Outside food is welcome; feel free to bring a picnic!
ABC laws prohibit the consumption of outside alcoholic beverages. *Musicians will setup in the Orchard Room during inclement weather.

Enjoy live music by Her Checkered Past. Join Anne O'Brien and Frank Bechter in the orchard for some live music that will warm your heart. This duo will keep you humming along to popular songs. The cider will be flowing so bring a thirst and treat yourself to a little relaxation.

15th annual, Central Virginia Star Party!
15th annual, Central Virginia Star Party! Dark Skies, Bright Kids is a primarily volunteer-run program seeking to enhance science education in Virginia elementary schools in underserved areas. Operating out of the UVA Astronomy Department, the program seeks to foster the natural curiosity of children in the surrounding community by helping them to explore the Universe in a social setting with fun, hands-on activities.​ 
DSBK: "We are excited to extend everyone an invitation to join us at the 2024 Central Virginia Star Party that will be held on September 20th, 6:30 - 10:00pm, at Albemarle CiderWorks in North Garden, Virginia!Admission to this event is free and open to the entire community. There will be telescope observation, hands-on astronomy activities, and cider tastings (for adults).We hope to see you all there to share the wonderful night skies of Central Virginia with our amazing community!"

Mushroom Foraging Trip At Albemarle Ciderworks!
Mushroom Foraging Trip At Albemarle Ciderworks! It's back!

We're thrilled to have Mise En Place offer this culinary excursion with the Blue Ridge Mycological Society. Tickets include a guided foraging walk hosted by the Blue Ridge Mycological Society, a “foraging” cider flight, a muslin foraging bag and some delicious mushroom snacks to go with the cider.

Please be at Albemarle Ciderworks, 2545 Rural Ridge Ln, North Garden, VA 22959 at 2:30PM. The walk begins promptly at 3:00PM
. This event is rain or shine, so please dress weather-appropriate and with proper footwear. Also we will be in wooded areas and bright colored clothing is suggested. This event requires a moderate level of physical activity walking uphill and on uneven terrain.

Once the group returns to the tasting room, all participants are invited to enjoy a flight of cider and some mushroom focused snacks prepared by Chef Christine.

Come down and grab a glass of cider with Matty Metcalfe & company.

Mirabelle and Matty, a daughter and father duo, love to play energetically infectious, upbeat music that draws from many sources, genres, and eras but always includes audience participation for sing-and-dance-alongs and song requests that span pop, folk, country, rock and Disney/kids musical styles.

  • Light bites and hard cider will be available for purchase by the glass, bottle, or flight.

Sip cider and read in quiet camaraderie. No assigned reading, no obligations. Bring your own book of choice. This is a free social event hosted in our Orchard Room.

We are excited to be Charlottesville's second chapter of Silent Book Club, an international organization bringing bibliophiles together.

From the official website of Silent Book Club:

"At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. Friends and strangers gather at a set time and location, order food or drinks, share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not!

Afterwards: Mingle (or keep reading)
