Cider Sunsets, a brand new summer concert series at Albemarle CiderWorks, kicks of with the energetic sounds of The Working Effective!

Charlottesville-based singer/songwriter Justin Storer fronts the indie-folk americana quintet The Working Effective, whose recent record entitled simply Dear Brooklyn, has caught the ears of fans and industry members alike.

It is the strength of melody and rhythm that keeps fans, friends, and players alike coming back to the band. That combined with an inclusive and often hilarious stage show, Storer draws an audience into his narrative, and Dear Brooklyn is really going places. With stops at love and death, fatherhood, family, racial injustice, and environmental responsibility, Storer is your conductor on this rail ride through American life.

Storer, West Coast born but Southern by the grace of god, has been a lifelong musician, but he cut his teeth as a songwriter in the Brooklyn folk scene.  A fixture of the Big City Folk and Local Correspondents musical collectives, Storer has toured both nationally and internationally, and has appeared on a staggering number of records, not least of which is his own solo debut Hot Water Sunday. Though he often appears as a soloist, The Working Effective is going strong as a band and Storer looks forward to many future projects.

Join us from 6-8 pm for cider, live music, and dancing.  Food truck on-site, or bring a picnic!

Tickets are a steal at $10 per person, and include a glass of cider.

Catch the next Cider Sunsets concerts on July 25 and August 29.
