Crème Brûlée is an instrumental trio of piano, accordion and mandolin or flute, playing an eclectic mix of melodies based on American and European dance traditions ranging from a Bluegrass breakdown to a French waltz to an English “country dance.”

Connie Muscenti, a music teacher and professional musician now living in Nelson County, uses the piano and concertina as a vehicle for many different musical styles and joyous personal and social pursuits.  She has transcribed many gems of traditional Italian music for your listening pleasure.   Colin Ramirez, started playing Irish Music on mandolin and flute in college and has progressed to Americana, Continental melodies and Klezmer bands when not practicing medicine for UVA students.  His favorite instruments are both made by fine Virginia craftsmen.  Jim Harrington is a Staunton musical stalwart who rocked the Valley for years with Wanda and the White Boys, and whose accordion also works non-stop with eclectic “Rhythm Road”.   Theater music, church music,  fiddle tunes or rock ‘n roll don’t seem to interfere with his day job as English professor at Mary Baldwin College or time with his talented musical family.

We get together to play the music that makes us happy in the hope, expectation even, that it will you too.  Taste Crème Brûlée.
